An udate on Sevgji
We visited her every day during the last week. She is getting to know us a little bit
better. She is ready to be released and
the hospital should have sent her to another town (Bitola) to the orphanage
there. With the help of Mary Jo, Dr Aspazija, the pastor of the International
church (Brain Richards) and their connections she is still here.
Our lawyer is still on holiday and not in the country. He will be back on the 20th and we
hope that we will be able to proceed from there. Fostering and adoption is not
an easy process in Macedonia and takes time. Although we would love to have her
in our home right now, we can’t. So at the moment we are travelling by bus
every day to go and see her in the hospital that is on the other side of the
city.
We are also busy getting all our documents ready , Marriage
certificates and birth certificates for Danie and myself (stuff we didn’t know
we would need). This is also taking some time to obtain. In the meantime we
also need to get a visa, we have only 2 months left on our tourist visa. It is
a stressful time for us, but we are trusting God in this whole process. He is
opening doors for us that would never have opened if we did not consider
adoption. We are meeting people that
will really be able to help us in more ways later on as well.
